Loosing belly fat is the most common desires for people when starting out their fitness journey. Unfortunately there is no shortcut to reducing any spots with fat. Loosing belly fat is a difficult and an annoying thing to achieve personally for me. In truth, it only takes a caloric deficiency and a steady gym program to loose belly fat and overall fat.
In this blog I will give you Exercises to Lose Belly Fat to aid you in your journey to a leaner midsection. While these exercises won’t spot-reduce fat, they will help you develop a stronger, leaner core as you continue your journey to a fitter, healthier body.
Walking
Walking often is an excellent weight-loss strategy because it is considered a low-intensity “workout”. During low-intensity exercises like walking or yoga, the body primarily uses fat as its main fuel source. Walking also targets visceral fat which are the fats that surrounds your organs that makes you appear heavier. So if your aim is to get lighter and loose weight, walking is a great choice.
Core-Strengthening Exercises
Exercises such as planks and crunches alone won’t burn belly fat but they strengthen and tone the muscles underneath, improving the appearance of the midsection as fat reduces.
Strength Training Exercises
Yo im mad lazy bruh click these to find out what exercises im talking about. Exercises like these help increase metabolism and burns fat yk what im saying. This should be obvious enough that doing strength training using dumbbells will loose fat. Strength training in general actually but im saying dumbbells to fit in the description of my title of being able to do these exercises at home so i dont get caught lacking.
Misconceptions when it comes to loosing belly fat
Contrary to popular belief, running is not an effective way to lose fat. Running is a high intensity workout which requires carbs for fuel. It breaks down muscle and carbs for energy due to the high energy demands of the intense exercise which will lead to muscle loss especially when paired with a caloric deficit. You don’t necessarily have to avoid running when trying to lose fat, as running can be an excellent calorie-burning activity but you should not do it in an excessive form. Aggressive cutting/skipping meals
Extreme calorie reduction may cause quick weight loss, but it often leads to muscle loss, nutrient deficiencies, and a slowed metabolism.
Only cardio to loose fat
You will never loose fat unless you are in a caloric deficit no matter what exercises you do.
Simple explanation for caloric deficit: A caloric deficit is when you burn more calories than you consume. It can be achieved by eating fewer calories, increasing physical activity, or both.
